I HEART FACES Challenge Sun flare

I have not entered one of these weekly challenges in awhile. Three kids has really taken a lot out of me. This weeks challenge is sun flare. Sadly NC has been cloudy on the days I had some time available. I am using a photo I took in AZ while visiting family.

The R Family

I have had the opportunity to photograph this family a few times before. I love being with their family. The mom is a rock star when it comes to choosing outfits for the whole family to wear. They always look great.

The B Kids

These kids are fabulous and not to mention beautiful. They are so much fun and have such different personalities. I am lucky to be related to them.
I will start with the last. It is no secret that this little guy has his mom wrapped around his little finger. He is adorable and the last baby of the bunch.

Yep her eyes are really that blue. She has a big personality for such a small thing.

This little guy is somewhat of a poser and a ball of energy. I don't think his mind is ever resting.

This big boy is more of a quiet deep thinker. You know he has something on his mind however he will choose as to when he will grace you with his knowledge.

Ella Bella was such a pretty little baby when I met her and is now a pretty young lady. She has a very big heart and is always wanting to help the underdog.

Last but not least because she is the oldest of the bunch is Jenna. I love this girl. She will always hold a special place in my heart. I am pretty sure she was the first to open her arms out to me when joining this great family. She has also grown to be a beautiful lady.

It's Been Way Too Long

I really have been taking photos the last few months. I can't believe how easy it is to allow your life to be filled up with all sorts of activities. A few months ago I was contacted by a photographer friend who was planning to move and asked if I would take on one of her clients. This client was needing some family pictures taken for their family reunion. To say I was nervous was a huge understatement. There were a lot of restrictions that were also placed on me for the location. We ended meeting up at a local park. Organizing 35+ was a challenge but I did it. The family was a lot of fun and the end result was good memories captured with photos.

"Hands On Fun" week 8

I have had the wonderful opportunity of photographing these two kiddos twice.

They both are so sweet and amazing talented kids. I have enjoyed the times I have been with them. They both are visually impaired and it will keep deteriorating as they get older. I captured this photo of little E. His hands are his eyes. It is amazing what other senses are able to accomplish when others don't work as well.

If it wasn't rain there was wind. It was a challenge to get a good weather day. However I think I captured this family in a way they would love. Their kids are adorable and take little warming up. We started up with a game of hide and seek. After the game they had no reservations.

My Red Head

C girl is a challenge to photograph. She is always on the go and never stopping. However when she does sit still for a second I find I can capture her many faces. She definitely keeps me on my toes and my shutter speed fast.

This little guy is only a week old. He is just as cute as can be. He definitely has a smothering fan in his sister. She did not want him to go without a hug, smooch, or face rub for a second. Here are some of the photos from the session.

This brother and sister are so sweet. I took their photos back in the spring and was lucky to have the opportunity to photograph them again. There is nothing sweeter sounding then a little child with a southern accent telling you they love you. It melts my heart.

The first two photos were the sister's idea. I thought they turned out very cute.

Happily Married

While in AZ I had the opportunity to shoot this fine looking couple. Their year anniversary is coming up this Fall. They were looking to update their photos in their home from engagement and wedding photos to present photos. I thought it would be fun to do the photo shoot at their first home.

Thank you Tatum and Chase for giving me the opportunity. You would never know by looking at the pictures however Tatum was feeling very ill. I think she looks fabulous even if she was really sick.

What do you get when taking photos in 110+ degree temps? A happy little girl? When I visit Mesa I like to squeeze in some time for a few photo shoots. This is my cousin's family. I had a lot of fun taking their photos despite the weather. She has two adorable kids and one silly husband.

Photoshop and Textures

With digital being the new age of photography there is a lot more that can be done to an image post processing. I have seen many photographers use textures and photoshop actions. I like the idea of creating my own textures to enhance my photos. I occasionally will get on Photoshop to expirement with different textures created in photo shop or from another image. I have little experience and knowledge however I think I am getting better. Here is an example of a photo of my nephew I played with today. Let me know what you think?

So one of my favorite hobbies is taking pictures. I have loved it since I can remember. I use to pose my stuffed animals on my bed and pretend like I was snapping their pictures. My camera of choice then was my hands but soon after I realized how much I wanted to take pictures. My parents were so generous and bought me my very own camera when I was seven.

Now I love shooting my beautiful girls. Besides my mom made me give my stuffed animals away. I think I would prefer capturing my girls over my stuffed animals. Although I did not get any attitude from my cabbage patch dolls.These are a few of my photos I took with my Canon point and shoot when the photography bug hit me again after my second girl was born. I am now the proud owner of a Nikon DSLR. This blog will be for me to post present and past photoshoots and everything else photography. I hope you enjoy.
